ʻI he-ʻe-ku ʻa-lu fa-nó,

ʻI he maomaonganoá—

Neo-ngo ʻe-ku to-ko-ta-há,

ʻOku ou ʻi-lo e ʻO-tu-á.

Tū-ʻu-lu-tui ʻi he lo-tú;

Ko e ta-lí ku-ó u maʻú.

To-ʻo a-tu e ka-ve-ngá

Ho-ku lo-to fi-e-fi-á.

ʻU-na-lo-to e mo-ʻu-í,

ʻO-hi-fo ha tā-pu-a-kí.

ʻI-kai hā si-no ha ma-ná,

Kae ta-fe mai ʻa e no-ngá.

Ka la-hi e fai-nga-ta-ʻá,

ʻI-kai ha ʻā-ki-lo-to-á,

Fa-ka-la-ka e ta-u-fá,

Kia-te Ia ʻe-ku fa-la-lá.

Neo-ngo ha me-ʻa ʻe ho-kó,

Ma-lu-ʻa-ki ma-i e pō;

Te Ne ho-ko ko e ʻa-o-fí,

Ke u hū-fa-nga mei he fi-lí.

Ha-ʻu ki Ai e ma-ma-hí,

Mo e kau fe-hā-la-a-kí,

ʻA ki-nau-to-lu kuo he-lá,

Haʻu kia-te Ia! Haʻu kia-te Ia!
