Laʻitā ʻo e nima mei he tā tongitongi ʻo Kalaisí faitaaʻi ʻe Scott Law

Neongo ʻa e fuʻu kakai ʻitá mo e fakatanga ʻi he koló mo e vāhenga fakasiasí, ka naʻá na kau ki he Siasi ʻo Sīsū Kalaisi ʻo e Kau Māʻoniʻoni ʻi he Ngaahi ʻAho Kimui Ní ʻi he 1861.

ʻI he faʻahitaʻu failau ʻo e taʻu hono hokó, naʻá na tali ʻa e ui ʻo Saioné, ke mavahe ʻi ha ngaahi maile ʻe 5,000 (kilomita ʻe 8,000) ki he Teleʻa Sōlekí. Naʻe ʻuhinga ʻa e tānaki fakataha ki Saioné ke siʻaki ʻena moʻui naʻe lelei ʻi Tenimaʻaké—kau ai ʻa e ngaahi kaungāmeʻá, kāingá, pea mo ha faama fakaʻofoʻofa kuo laui toʻu tangata hono tukuʻau mai mei he tamaí ki he foha lahi tahá. Naʻe tuʻu ʻa e fāmá ʻi he kolo ko Vetamí, ofi ki ʻAlepoki, ʻi he kelekele lelei ʻo Peninisulā Satilení ʻi he fakatokelau ʻo Tenimaʻaké, pea naʻe lahi mo ola lelei ʻa e fāmá. Ko e hā ʻoku hoko ai ʻa e fekeʻikeʻi fakaemāmani lahí mo e koví? ʻOku mahino ʻa e ʻuhingá.
