“Ko e Muli Au”

Fakakaukauʻi ʻi he faʻa lotu e meʻa te mou lava ʻo faí—fakatatau ki homou taimí mo e tūkungá—ke tokoni ki he kau kumi hūfanga atu ki homou kaungāʻapí mo e tukui koló.

Naʻe pehē ʻe ʻEma Sāmita ʻi he ʻaho naʻe fokotuʻu ai e Fineʻofá: “Te tau fakahoko ha meʻa matuʻaki makehe …ʻOku tau ʻamanaki ki ha ngaahi meʻa lalahi mo ha ngaahi uiuiʻi mamafa.”1 Talu mei ai mo e faʻa hoko ha ngaahi meʻa makehe mo e ʻomi ha ngaahi ui mamafa—hangē ko ia he taimi ní.

Naʻe hoko mai ia ʻi he konifelenisi lahi ʻo ʻOkatopa 1856 ʻi hono fakahā ʻe Palesiteni Pilikihami ʻIongi ki he kāingalotú ne siʻi kei faingataʻaʻia ha kau paionia ʻi ha ngaahi saliote toho tangata ʻi he konga kimui ʻo e faʻahitaʻu momokó. Naʻá ne pehē: “He ʻikai lava ʻe he tui ʻoku mou maʻú mo hoʻomou tui fakalotú pea mo hoʻomou malanga fakalotú ʻo fakahaofi haʻamou foʻi laumālie ʻe taha ʻi he puleʻanga fakasilesitiale ʻo e ʻOtuá kapau he ʻikai ke mou fai ki he tefitoʻi moʻoni pē ko ia ʻoku ou lolotonga akoʻi atú. Mou ō atu ʻo ʻomi ʻa e kakai ʻi he fonua tokaleleí pea mou tokanga makehe ki he ngaahi meʻa ʻoku tau ui ko e fatongia fakatuʻasino pe fakataimí, … telia naʻa taʻeʻaonga hoʻomou tuí.”2

ʻOku tau manatu ʻi he loto houngaʻia ki ha kau tangata, ne nau tutui atu ke fakahaofi siʻi Kāingalotu faingataʻaʻia ko iá. Ka ko e hā naʻe fai ʻe he kakai fefiné?

“Naʻe lekooti ʻe Sisitā [Lusi Misevi] Sāmita … hili e akonaki ʻa Palesiteni ʻIongí, naʻe ngāue leva e kakai naʻe ʻi aí. … Ne [vete] ʻe he houʻeiki fafiné honau ʻū pivá [ko ha ʻū piva lalahi ne tui loto he ko e ākenga ia ʻo e kuongá pea naʻe māfana foki], sitōkení mo e meʻa kotoa pē naʻe lava ke nau foakí, ʻi heni he loto Tāpanekalé, pea faʻo ia ki he ʻū salioté ke ʻoatu ki he Kāingalotú ʻi he ʻotu moʻungá.’”3

“Ne mau fai e meʻa kotoa pē naʻa mau lavá, pea tokoni ki ai e kau tangata mo [e kau] fafine leleí ke fakafiemālieʻi e kau faingataʻaʻiá … Ne fuʻu fakaʻofa ʻaupito e mokoteilo siʻonau ongo nimá mo e vaʻé. … Naʻe ʻikai tuku ʻemau tokoní kae ʻoua kuo fiemālie e tokotaha kotoa pē. …

“Te u pehē, kuo teʻeki ai ha taimi te u ongoʻi fiemālie mo fiefia ange ai ʻi ha faʻahinga ngāue kuó u fai heʻeku moʻuí, pea ko e faʻahinga ongo ia naʻe maʻu ʻe he taha kotoa. …

Pea hangē ko e Samēlia leleí, naʻá ne ngāue mālohi ke foaki ʻo lahi ange ʻi he meʻa naʻá ne maʻú peá ne ʻalu ʻi ha loli mo ʻene tama fefiné ke ʻave ʻa e ʻū monomonó mei Lonitoni ki Kosovō. ʻI heʻene foki ki ʻapí, naʻá ne maʻu ha ongo fakalaumālie naʻe ongo moʻoni ki hono lotó. Ko e ongo ʻeni naʻá ne maʻú: “Kuó ke fai ha meʻa lelei moʻoni. Foki ki ʻapi, kolosi he halá ʻo tokoni ki ho kaungāʻapí!”19
