Jednoho dne Ježíš učil své učedníky evangeliu na svahu hory poblíž Galilejského jezera.

Matouš 5:1

Sermon on the Mount - Jesus is teaching the people how to live - ch.20-2

Řekl jim, jak mají žít, aby mohli být šťastní a aby mohli znovu žít s Nebeským Otcem. To, čemu je učil, může učinit šťastnými i nás.

Matouš 5–7

Sermon on the Mount - Jesus is telling the people to be gentle, patient and willing to follow the Lord - ch.20-3

Ježíš řekl, že máme být vlídní, trpěliví a ochotní poslouchat Nebeského Otce.

Matouš 5:5

Sermon on the Mount - Jesus teaches the people that they should be righteous - ch.20-4

Máme se ze všech sil snažit být spravedliví.

Matouš 5:6

Sermon on the Mount - Jesus teaches that we should forgive those who do wrong to us - a man who has been injured is pictured with his attacker - ch.20-5

Máme odpouštět lidem, kteří nám ublížili nebo kvůli kterým se cítíme špatně. Jestliže jim odpustíme, Nebeský Otec odpustí nám.

Matouš 5:7

Sermon on the Mount - Jesus teaches the people to be peacemakers - people giving food to others is depicted - ch.20-6

Máme být mírotvorci, máme mít druhé lidi rádi a máme všem lidem pomáhat, aby se měli navzájem rádi.

Matouš 5:9

Sermon on the Mount - Jesus tells the people to spread the gospel and do good - a man teaching an older woman is depicted - ch.20-7

Nemáme se bát říci druhým lidem o evangeliu nebo jim ukázat, že máme Nebeského Otce rádi. Když ostatní lidé uvidí, že děláme dobro, pomůže jim to také uvěřit v Boha.

Matouš 5:14–16

Máme vždy dodržovat, co slíbíme.

Matouš 5:33–37

Sermon on the Mount - Jesus teaches the people to treat others as they would want to be treated - a man is depicted helping a lame man walk - ch.20-9

A stejně, jako si my přejeme, aby ostatní lidé byli laskaví k nám, máme být my laskaví k nim.

Matouš 7:12

Sermon on the Mount - Jesus tells the people they will be happy and blessed if they follow they things He has told them - ch.20-10

Ježíš řekl, že jestliže budeme toto dělat, budeme šťastní, Nebeský Otec nám bude žehnat a budeme s Ním opět žít.
