Naʻe fononga ʻi he 1902 ʻa Siosefa Filitingi Sāmita ki Masasūseti, ʻo ne lava ke maʻu ai e fakamatala fekauʻaki mo ʻene ngaahi kui Sāmitá. Naʻe akoʻi ʻe Palesiteni Sāmita ko e hisitōlia fakafāmilí ʻoku mahulu atu ia ʻi he kumi pē ʻo e ngaahi hingoá, ʻo e ngaahi ʻahó, mo e ngaahi feituʻú pea mo hono tānaki ʻo e ngaahi fakamatalá. ʻOku ʻuhinga ia ki he fakahoko ʻo e ngaahi ouau fakatemipale ʻokú ne fakatahaʻi ʻa e ngaahi fāmilí ki ʻitānití, ki hono silaʻi ʻo e kakai angatonu ʻo e ngaahi toʻu tangata kotoa pē ke nau hoko ko e kau mēmipa ʻo e fāmili ʻo e ʻOtuá. Naʻe fakafoki mai ʻe ʻIlaisiā ʻa e mālohi ke silaʻi, ke fakamaʻu, ʻi māmani ʻo hangē ʻi he langí.

Naʻe fakaʻosi ʻe Malakai, ko e fakamuimui taha ʻo e kau palōfita ʻo e Fuakava Motuʻá, ʻene kikité ʻaki e ngaahi lea ko ʻení:

“Vakai, te u fekau ʻa ʻIlaisiā ko e palōfita, kiate kimoutolu, ʻi he heʻeki ai hoko ʻa e ʻaho lahi mo fakamanavahē ʻo [e ʻEikí]:

“Pea te ne liliu ʻa e loto ʻo e mātuʻá ki he fānaú, pea [mo e] loto ʻo e fānaú ki heʻenau mātuʻá, telia naʻá ku haʻu ke taaʻi ʻaki ʻa māmani ʻa e malaʻiá.” (Malakai 4:5–6.)

ʻOku hangē ʻoku taau ʻaupito hono fakaʻosi ʻe he fakamuimui taha ʻo e kau palōfita motuʻá ʻene ngaahi leá ʻaki e talaʻofa ki he ngaahi toʻu tangata ʻo e kahaʻú, pea naʻe kikiteʻi ʻi he talaʻofa ko iá ha kuonga ʻe fakafehokotaki ai ʻa e ngaahi toʻu tangata ʻo e kuo hilí mo kinautolu ʻo e ngaahi kuonga ki mui maí. …

ʻOku tuʻunga ʻi he māʻoniʻoni ʻo e mafai ko ʻení ʻa hono fakahoko ʻo e ngaahi ouaú ʻi he ngaahi temipalé maʻá e kakai moʻuí mo e kau pekiá. Ko e mālohi ia ʻokú ne fakatahaʻi ʻa e husepānití mo e uaifí ke taʻengatá, ʻi he taimi ʻoku nau fakahoko ai ʻa e malí ʻo fakatatau mo e palani taʻengatá. Ko ia ʻoku mahuʻinga lahi fau ai hono misioná ki māmani. ʻOku ʻikai fekauʻaki ia mo e papitaiso maʻá e pekiá pē, kae ʻoku toe fekauʻaki foki mo e silaʻi ʻo e ngaahi mātuʻá pea mo e fānaú ki he mātuʻá, koeʻuhí ke lava ʻo “fakatahaʻi kakato mo fakakātoa mo haohaoa, pea mo hano fakamaʻu fakataha ʻo e ngaahi kuonga fakakosipelí, fakataha mo e ngaahi kī mo e ngaahi mālohi mo e ngaahi nāunaú,” talu mei he kamataʻanga ki he ngataʻanga ʻo taimí. ʻOku fekauʻaki lahi ʻa e ngāue fakatemipalé mo e palani ʻo e fakamoʻuí, ʻo ʻikai ke lava ʻo ʻi ai ʻa e tahá kae ʻikai ke ʻi ai e tahá. Ko hono fakalea ʻe tahá, he ʻikai ke lava ʻo ʻi ai ha fakamoʻui ʻo ka ʻikai ke ʻi ai ha ngaahi ouau fakatemipale ʻoku ʻo e temipalé ʻataʻatā pē.11

Naʻe ʻosi tuʻutuʻuni ʻe he ʻEikí ko ʻene fānau fakalaumālie kotoa pē, ʻa e laumālie kotoa pē naʻe moʻui pe ʻe moʻui ʻi māmani, te nau maʻu ha faingamālie lelei mo totonu ke tui mo talangofua ki he ngaahi fono ʻo ʻene ongoongolelei taʻengatá.
