Elder Jay E. Jensen

Naʻe fakatupu ʻe Sīsū Kalaisi ha ngaahi maama taʻefaʻalaua, ʻo fakatatau mo e fakahinohino ʻa ʻEne Tamaí. Ko Ia ʻa e Sihova māfimafí, ko e ʻOtua ʻo e Fuakava Motuʻá. Naʻe fāʻeleʻi ia ʻe ha faʻē fakamatelie ko Mele, pea mo e ʻOtua ko e Tamai Taʻengatá. Ko e tokotaha maʻongoʻonga taha Ia ke moʻui ʻi he māmaní. Naʻá Ne pehē ko ʻEne haʻú “ke fai ʻa e loto ʻo ia naʻá ne fekau aú, pea fakaʻosi ʻene ngāué” (Sione 4:34).

Naʻá Ne fakahā taʻeheliaki ʻi Heʻene pōpoakí mo e ngāué ko Sīsū Kalaisi Ia, ko e ʻAlo ʻo e ʻOtuá, ko e Mīsaia ne talaʻofa maí.

Naʻá Ne faʻa lau mei he Fuakava Motuʻá ʻi Heʻene ngaahi akonakí. Naʻá Ne fakaʻaongaʻi e folofolá ke teuteu ki Heʻene ngāue fakafaifekaú, ke tekeʻi ʻaki e koví mo e ʻahiʻahí, ke fakalāngilangiʻi mo fakapapauʻi ʻaki e totonu mo e moʻoni ʻo e kau palōfita ʻo e kuo hilí, pea ke fakamālohia ai e niʻihi kehé. ʻE lava ke tau ako mei Heʻene tā sīpingá ke fakaʻaongaʻi lelei ange ʻa e folofolá ʻi hotau ngaahi fatongia ko e mātuʻa, kau taki, mo e kau faiakó—he kuó Ne tā ʻa e sīpinga haohaoá ʻi he meʻa kotoa pē, kau ai ʻEne hoko ko e faiako tuʻukimuʻá.

Ko e Teuteu ki Heʻene Ngāue Fakafaifekaú

ʻI he taimi naʻe hāʻele mai ai e ʻEikí ki he māmaní, naʻe ngalo ʻa e meʻa kotoa pē mei Hono ʻatamaí, hangē pē ko kitautolú, ka naʻá Ne fakalakalaka mei he ʻaloʻofa ki he ʻaloʻofa (vakai, T&F 93:11–17), ʻo tatau pē mo kitautolu. Naʻe akonekina Ia ʻe Heʻene Tamai Hēvaní (vakai, Sione 8:28; 12:49) mo ha kau faiako fakamatelie pē. Hangē ko ia ne fakamahinoʻi mai ʻe ʻEletā Sēmisi E. Talamesi (1862–1933) ʻo e Kōlomu ʻo e Kau ʻAposetolo ʻe Toko Hongofulu Mā Uá:” “ ʻOku hanga ʻe heʻetau ʻilo ko ia ki he moʻui Fakasiu he taimi ko iá ʻo fakatonuʻi ʻa ʻetau pehē naʻe akoʻi lelei ʻa e Tamasiʻí ʻi he fonó mo e ngaahi folofolá, he naʻe hoko ia ko e lao. He naʻá Ne ako ʻo tānaki mo tauhi ʻa e ʻiló, pea maʻu ʻa e potó ʻi he feingá, fakakaukaú mo e lotú.” 1

Ko e talanoa pē kuo tau fanongo ai kau kiate Ia mei Heʻene kei siʻí ʻo aʻu ki he kamata ʻEne ngaahi malangá, ko ʻEne faiako ʻi he temipalé ʻi hono taʻu 12, ʻo Ne fakahaaʻi ai ʻa ʻEne malava ke fakaʻaongaʻi ʻa e poto mo e ʻilo makehe naʻá Ne maʻú: “Kuo hili ʻa e ʻaho ʻe tolu, peá na toki ʻilo ia [ʻe Siosefa mo Mele] ʻi he [temipalé], ʻoku nofo ʻi he haʻohaʻonga ʻo e kau akonakí [pe kau faiako], ʻo fakafanongo kiate kinautolu, mo fakafehuʻi kiate kinautolu” (Luke 2:46). ʻOku fakamahinoʻi e veesi ko ʻení ʻe he Liliu ʻa Siosefa Sāmitá mo fakahā naʻe fakafanongo e kau akonakí kia Sīsū mo fakafehuʻi Ia.

ʻOku hā mei he faleʻi naʻá Ne fai kia Hailame Sāmita ʻi he 1829 ʻa ʻEne tupulaki ʻi he ʻiló kimuʻa pea toki kamata ʻEne ngāue fakafaifekaú: “ ʻOua ʻe feinga ke malanga ʻaki ʻa ʻeku leá, kae fuofua feinga ke maʻu ʻeku leá, pea ʻe toki vete ho ʻeleló; pea kapau te ke loto ki ai, te ke maʻu leva ʻa hoku Laumālié pea mo ʻeku leá, ʻio ʻa e mālohi ʻo e ʻOtuá ki hono fakalotoʻi ʻo e kakaí ke tuí” (T&F 11:21).

ʻI he kamataʻanga ʻo ʻEne ngāue fakafaifekau, naʻe ʻahiʻahiʻi ʻa Sīsū ʻe he tēvoló. Naʻe kamata ʻaki e ongo ʻahiʻahi mei he ngaahi ʻahiʻahi ko ia ʻe tolú ha lea naʻe fakaveiveiua: “Kapau ko e ʻAlo koe ʻo e ʻOtuá” (Mātiu 4:3, 6). Naʻe lea ʻaki ʻe he Fakamoʻuí ha potufolofola ʻe tolu mei he Fuakava Motuʻá ke tekeʻi ʻaki ʻa Sētane, ʻo Ne pehē, “Kuo tohi …” (veesi 4, 7, 10).

Naʻe akoʻi foki ʻe he Fakamoʻuí ʻa Hono kau muimuí ʻo fakafou ʻi ha ngaahi sīpinga fakafolofola ke ikunaʻi ʻaki ʻa e koví. Naʻe folofola ʻaki ʻe he Faiako Tuʻukimuʻá ha fakamatala mei he Fuakava Motuʻá ke akoʻi ʻaki e kakaí ke nau tekeʻi ʻa e koví pe ko haʻanau fehangahangai mo hono ngaahi nunuʻá: “ ʻE kātakiʻingofua ʻa e fonua ko Sōtoma mo Komolá ʻi he ʻaho fakamāú, ʻi he kolo ko iá [ʻa kinautolu naʻa nau fakafisingaʻi ʻEne ongoongoleleí]” (Mātiu 10:15).

Ko e taha ʻo e ngaahi potufolofola ʻoku ou manako ke tekeʻi ʻaki ʻa Sētane he ʻaho ní ko e veesi ko ʻení: “ ʻOku mamata hoku matá kiate kimoutolu. ʻOku ou ʻi homou lotolotongá” (T&F 38:7). ʻOkú ne toʻo atu ʻe ia ʻo taʻengata ʻa e loi ko ia “he ʻikai ʻilo ia ʻe ha taha.”

Ko Hono Fakalāngilangiʻi ʻo e Kau Palōfita ʻo e Kuohilí

Naʻe fakalāngilangiʻi ʻe he Fakamoʻuí ʻa e kau palōfita ʻo e kuonga muʻá mo fakaʻaongaʻi ʻenau ngaahi leá. Naʻá Ne fekau kia Sitenei Likitoni ʻi he kuonga ko ʻení ke ne “lau mei he kau palōfita māʻoniʻoní ke fakamoʻoniʻi ʻaki [e] ngaahi lea [ʻa Siosefa Sāmitá]” (T&F 35:23).

Ke fakahā ʻa e fakamoʻoni mo e fakaʻapaʻapa ki he kau palōfita ʻo e Fuakava Motuʻá, naʻe folofola ʻa e Fakamoʻuí ʻo kau kia Noa (vakai, Mātiu 24:37–38); ʻĒpalahame (vakai, Luke 16:22–31; Sione 8:56–58); ʻĒpalahame, ʻAisake, mo Sēkope (vakai, Mātiu 8:11); Mōsese (vakai, Sione 5:46); Tēvita (vakai, Luke 6:3); ʻIlaisiā (vakai, Luke 4:25–26); mo ʻĪsaia (vakai, Luke 4:16–21; Sione 1:23). Naʻá Ne fakaʻapaʻapaʻi foki mo poupouʻi hono kaungā ngāue ko Sione Papitaisó, (vakai, Mātiu 11:7–11).

Naʻe fai ʻe he Fakamoʻuí ha ngaahi fakafehokotaki mahuʻinga ʻi he Malanga he Moʻungá ki he kau palōfita ʻo e Fuakava Motuʻá mo ʻenau ngaahi akonaki fekauʻaki mo Iá. ʻOku fakatātaaʻi ʻaki ʻeni ʻa e ngaahi fakafekauʻaki vāofi ʻi he ngaahi kupuʻi lea mei he Ngaahi Monūʻiá (vakai, Mātiu 5:3–11) pea mei he ʻĪsaia 61:1–3.2

Ko ha pōpoaki mahuʻinga ʻe taha ʻi he moʻui ʻa e ʻEikí ko e malanga ko ia kau ki he “mā ʻo e moʻuíʻ (vakai, Sione 6). ʻOkú Ne fakaʻaliʻali mai ʻa ʻEne maheni lelei mo fakaʻaongaʻi ʻo e folofolá pea pehē ki heʻene kaunga kiate kitautolú.

Naʻe fakahoko ʻe he ʻEikí ʻa e mana ʻo hono fafanga ʻo e toko 5,000 ʻi he ʻaho kimuʻa peá Ne fai ʻa e pōpoakí ni, ʻo toe tokolahi ange ai hono kau muimuí (vakai, Sione 6:5–14). Naʻe tokoni ʻa e malangá ni ki hono akoʻi ʻo ʻEne Kau ʻAposetoló, tautautefito pē kia Pita, ʻa ia ne fakamālohia ai ʻene fakamoʻoní (vakai, veesi 63–71).

Naʻe fakafeʻiloaki ʻe he Faiako Tuʻukimuʻá ʻa e malanga kau ki he mā ʻo e moʻuí ʻi Haʻane fakamatala ki ha meʻa naʻe hoko ʻi he Fuakava Motuʻá:

“Naʻe ʻikai foaki ʻe Mōsese ʻa e mā ko iá mei he langí kiate kimoutolu; ka ʻoku foaki ʻe heʻeku Tamaí ʻa e mā moʻoní mei he langí kiate kimoutolu.

“He ko ia ʻa e mā ʻa e ʻOtuá ʻa ia ʻoku ʻalu hifo mei he langí, ʻo foaki ʻa e moʻuí ki māmani” (Sione 6:32–33; vakai foki, ʻEkesōtosi 16).

Pea naʻa nau pehēange, “Foaki maʻu ai pē ʻa e maá ni kiate kimautolu” (Sione 6:34).

Naʻe fakahā ʻe Heʻene talí kiate kinautolu kuo fakakoloaʻi fakalaumālié ʻa Hono tuʻunga fakalangi ko e ʻAlo ʻo e ʻOtuá, ko e Mīsaia mo e Fakamoʻui naʻe talaʻofa maí: “Ko au ko e mā ʻo e moʻuí: ko ia ʻoku haʻu kiate aú ʻ e ʻikai ʻaupito fiekaia; pea ko ia ʻoku tui kiate aú, ʻe ʻikai ʻaupito fieinu ia” (Sione 6:35).

ʻOku tau ʻilo naʻe fakamālohia ʻe he malanga ko ʻení ʻa Pita, he naʻá ne fakamoʻoni ʻo pehē, “ ʻOku mau tui pea ʻilo pau ko koe ko e Kalaisí, ko e ʻAlo ʻo e ʻOtua moʻuí” (Sione 6:69). ʻOku ʻi ai e kaunga ʻo e malanga ki he mā ʻo e moʻuí kiate kitautolu, he te tau tui foki pea ʻilo pau ko Sīsū ʻa e Kalaisí ʻi he taimi ʻoku tau lau ai, ako, mo lea ʻaki—kae ʻikai fakanounouʻi—ʻa e folofola māʻoniʻoní ke fakamālohia ai kitautolu mo e niʻihi kehé.

Ko Hono Fakahoko ʻo e Folofolá: Ko e Hū Ikuná

ʻI he hū mai ʻa e ʻEikí ki Selusalema kuó Ne ikuná, ko hano fakapapauʻi fakalongolongo ia ʻo ʻEne ʻilo mo fakaʻaongaʻi ʻo e folofolá: “Ke monūʻia ia ʻoku haʻu ʻi he huafa ʻo [e ʻEikí]” (Saame 118:26; vakai foki, Maʻake 11:9–10). Naʻá Ne heka ʻi ha ʻasi ʻo hū atu ki Selusalema, ko hono fakahoko ia ʻo e kikite “Ke ke fiefia lahi, ʻe ʻofefine ʻo Saione: … ʻoku haʻu ho Tuʻí kiate koe: … ʻoku heka ʻi he ʻasi” (Sakalaia 9:9; vakai foki, Mātiu 21:4–5).

Naʻe fokotuʻu ʻe Sīsū Kalaisi talu mei he kamataʻanga ʻo ʻEne ngāue ʻi he māmaní ʻo aʻu ki he Ngoue ko Ketisemaní, ki he kolosí, mo e fonualoto ne ʻikai ʻi ai ha tahá—ko Ia ʻa e Mīsaia kuo talaʻofa maí—ʻo fakafou ʻi he folofola ʻo e kuonga muʻá mo ʻEne ngāue fakafaifekaú, ngaahi maná, mo e ngaahi pōpoakí.
