ʻOku moveuveu moʻoni ʻa e māmaní (vakai, T&F 45:26). Ko e lahi ʻo ʻetau ngaahi palopalemá ʻoku ʻi he tafaʻaki fakalaumālié. Ko ha ngaahi palopalema fakasosaieti ia ʻoku ʻikai ke tau lava fakafoʻituitui ʻo fakaleleiʻi. Neongo ia, ʻoku ʻi ai ha ngaahi pale te tau lava ke maʻu fakafoʻituitui, ʻo aʻu ki he taimi ʻoku hōloa ai ʻa e anga-māʻoniʻoní he funga ʻo e māmaní.

Ko e foʻi fakakaukau ko ia ʻo e “fakapaleʻi ʻo e anga-māʻoniʻoní” ʻoku ʻohofi ia ʻi he māmani ʻo e ʻaho ní. Ko hono fakalotoʻi ko ia ʻo e kakaí ke nau fili ʻa e anga-māʻoniʻoní ko ha tukupā motuʻa. “Ko e tangata fakakakanó ko e fili ia ki he ʻOtuá” (Mōsaia 3:19). Kuo ʻi ai maʻu pē ha “fehangahangai ʻi he meʻa kotoa pē” (2 Nīfai 2:11).

Ko e faikehekehe ʻi he ʻaho ní, ko e “fuʻu fale lahi mo ʻataʻataá” (1 Nīfai 8:31) mo e kau fakaangá ʻoku nau leʻolahi ange, fakafekiki lahi ange, kae siʻi ange ʻenau kātakí ʻi ha toe taimi he lolotonga ʻo ʻeku moʻuí. ʻOku nau fakahaaʻi e hōloa ʻenau tuí ʻi ha ngaahi meʻa lahi, ʻi he taimi ʻoku nau tokanga lahi ange ai ki honau ongoongó ʻi he fakakaukauʻi ʻe he kakaí ʻa e hisitōliá kae ʻikai ke nau kau mo e ʻOtuá.

“Te u fokotuʻu fēfē ʻa e tokanga ki he koloá ki hono tuʻunga totonú ʻi heʻeku feinga ke aʻusia ha fakalakalaka fakalaumālié?”

Ko ha konga lahi kitautolu ʻo e māmani ko ʻení. ʻOku hoko ʻa e tafaʻaki ki he koloa ʻo e moʻui fakaʻahó ko ha palopalema mahino. ʻOku meimei ke siofi ʻe he sosaietí ʻa e meʻa kotoa ʻo fakatatau mo e ngaahi pale fakamāmaní.

Naʻe akoʻi ʻe Palesiteni Sipenisā W. Kimipolo (1895–1985) ʻe lava ke kau ʻi he ngaahi ʻotua tamapuá ʻa e tuʻunga fakaakó, ngaahi mataʻitohí, koloá, ʻapí, ngaahi nāunau falé, pea mo ha ngaahi koloa fakamāmani kehe.

Naʻe ʻasi ʻa e ngaahi fōtungá ʻi lalo ʻi ha fuka naʻe pehē, “Kapau ʻe hāʻele mai ʻa Kalaisi he pooni, ko hai ʻe hāʻele mai ki aí?” Kapau ʻoku tonu ʻeku manatú, naʻe ʻasi ai ʻa e ngaahi ʻata ko ʻení:

ʻOku tau ʻiloʻi ko e taimi ʻe toe hāʻele mai ai ʻa e Fakamoʻuí, he ʻikai ke tau ʻiloʻi ʻa e ʻahó pe ko e houá. ʻOku tau toe ʻilo foki ʻi heʻetau hoko ko e kau Kalisitiané, ke tau tokangaʻi ʻa e paeá mo e masivá pea pehē mo e uitoú mo e tamai maté. Ka neongo ia, naʻe mei tonu ange ʻa e fuká kapau naʻe pehē, “Kapau naʻe hāʻele mai ʻa Kalaisi he pooni, ko hai ʻe mateuteu ke fakafetaulaki kiate Iá?”

Ko e kamataʻanga hono vakaiʻi ʻetau moʻuí pea mo ʻetau tukupā ki he Fakamoʻuí mo ʻEne ongoongoleleí ko e papitaiso. Naʻe hoko hotau papitaisó ʻi ha ngaahi taʻu fuoloa kimuʻa, tuku kehe ʻa e kau ului foʻoú mo e kau valevalé.

Pea toki fakamamafaʻi leva ʻe ʻAlamā ha ngaahi ʻulungaanga lelei ʻe fā ʻoku tau fie maʻu ka tau taʻe-halaia ʻi he ʻao ʻo e ʻOtuá:

Ko e vālau lahi taha ʻi he funga ʻo e māmaní ʻoku fekauʻaki ia mo e ngaahi palopalema fakaʻekonōmika fakaʻahó. Ka ʻoku siʻi hano aleaʻi ke foki ki he ngaahi tefitoʻi moʻoni faka-Kalaisí ʻo tokanga ki he teuteu ke feʻiloaki mo e ʻOtuá pea mo e tuʻunga hotau laumālié. ʻOku fie maʻu ke fakatonutonu ʻetau moʻuí mo fakatupulaki ʻetau fakamamafa ki he ngaahi meʻa fakalaumālié.
