This first part of Ezra 8 contains a list of the groups of people who went with Ezra from Babylon to Jerusalem and the number of people in each group. Chapter 8 then tells the story of the Jews’ journey to Jerusalem, including how they fasted and prayed for protection along the way and how the Lord heard and answered their prayers.
