Good and Bad Fruit
Jeremiah 24 tells how the Lord, through Jeremiah, taught through the image of a basket of good figs and a basket of rotten figs that some Jews would be taken captive to Babylon for their good and then be able to return to their homeland at some future time. Others would be shamed and destroyed because of their wickedness.
