Counsel for a Prideful People
Isaiah 28 identifies pride as the major sin of the Israelites. Pride separated the people from the blessings the Lord wanted to give them. In verses 23–29, Isaiah compared a farmer’s knowledge of how to plant and harvest crops to the Lord’s even greater knowledge about how to properly work with His children.
