Judgment Day
Zephaniah 1 records Zephaniah’s prophecy about what would happen to the people of Judah because of their sins, which included worshiping idols, doing evil to each other, and thinking they were righteous while they acted wickedly.
Zephaniah 2 tells that Zephaniah prophesied that not only would the Babylonians destroy the Jews but also all the wicked surrounding Judah, including the Philistines (see vv. 4–7), the Moabites and the Ammonites (see vv. 8–11), the Ethiopians (see v. 12), and the Assyrians (see vv. 13–15).
