A person entitled to inherit physical or spiritual gifts. In the scriptures, the righteous are promised that they will become heirs to all that God has.
Abraham became an heir of the world through the righteousness of faith, Rom. 4:13 .
We are the children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ, Rom. 8:16–17 (D&C 84:38 ).
