A Child’s Prayer

With simplicity

1. Father, bless the little birds

That search for crumbs and seeds.

Keep the kittens warm at night,

And tend to all their needs.

2. When Thy Son was very small,

A manger cradled Him.

Shepherds brought their little lambs

That night in Bethlehem.

3. In the stable oxen’s lowing

Lulled the Child to sleep.

Father, for all little ones

A loving-watch care keep.
