A Young Boy Named Joseph

Reverently

1. A young boy named Joseph woke early one day
And went to the woods where he knelt down to pray
To ask his Father just which church was right,
For he had been wond’ring and wanted more light.

2. Two radiant Beings appeared in the air.
The light shone about them as Joseph knelt there.
One pointed to the other and said,
“This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!”

3. The Savior told Joseph that no church was right,
That none of God’s children had all truth or light.
But as a prophet, young Joseph would share
The gospel’s full glory with men ev’rywhere.
