Ko e hā ʻOku Totonu ke Tau Fai ʻi he Taimi ʻOku ʻIkai ke Tau ʻIlo ai ʻa e Meʻa ke Faí?

ʻOku ʻamanaki mai ʻa e ʻEikí te tau fakaʻekeʻeke, ako, mo ngāue ʻo aʻu pē ki he taimi ʻoku ʻikai ke tau maʻu ai ʻa e ʻilo haohaoá.

Elder Stanley G. Ellis

Hili ʻa e toutou taʻe malava ʻa Nīfai mo hono ngaahi tokouá ke maʻu ʻa e ngaahi peleti palasá meia Lēpaní, ne ʻalu leva ʻa Nīfai ke fai ha feinga fakaʻosi, “ʻo ʻikai te [ne] tomuʻa ʻilo ʻa e meʻa [ke ne] faí” (1 Nīfai 4:6).

Kuo fehangahangai ha kau palōfita tokolahi ʻi he ngaahi kuongá mo e palopalema tatau ʻi he pau ke nau ngāue ʻi he tuí. Naʻe fononga ʻa Paula ki Selusalema ka naʻe ʻikai ke ne ʻilo pe ko e hā ʻe hoko kiate ia ʻi he taimi ʻe aʻu atu aí (vakai, Ngāue 20:22). Naʻe tūʻulutui ʻa Siosefa Sāmita ʻi he vaoʻakaú ka naʻe ʻikai ke ne ʻilo pe ko e fē ʻa e siasi ʻoku tonu ke kau ki aí (vakai, Siosefa Sāmita—Hisitōlia 1:19).

ʻE lava pē ke tau fakatokangaʻi ʻoku tau ʻi ha ngaahi tūkunga ʻe fie maʻu ai ke tau fai ha ngāue ka ʻoku ʻikai ke tau ʻilo ʻa e meʻa ke faí. Kae mālō, he ʻoku akoʻi kitautolu ʻe he ngaahi meʻa naʻe hoko ʻi ʻolungá, ki ha ngaahi founga ke tau laka atu ai ki muʻa neongo ʻa ʻene taʻe paú.

Naʻe poupouʻi ʻe Nīfai hono ngaahi tokouá ke nau faivelenga ʻi hono tauhi ʻo e ngaahi fekau ʻa e ʻEikí (vakai, 1 Nīfai 4:1). Pea naʻá ne toki ngāue leva ʻi he tui ko iá. Naʻe “totolo atu ki he loto koló, ʻo … ʻalu atu ki he fale ʻo Lēpaní,” ʻo “tataki [ia] ʻe he Laumālié” (1 Nīfai 4:5–17). Naʻe ʻikai ngata pē ʻi hono fakahā ange ʻe he Laumālié kiate ia ʻa e meʻa ke faí ka naʻe toe ʻoange mo e ʻuhinga ʻoku mahuʻinga ai ke ne fakahoko iá (vakai, 1 Nīfai 4:12–14).

Naʻe tali ʻe ʻĀtama ʻaki haʻane “talangofua … ki he ngaahi fekau ʻa e ʻEikí” (Mōsese 5:5). Naʻe ngāue ʻa ʻĒpalahame ʻi he tuí, pea ko hono olá, “naʻe ʻāunofo ai ʻi he fonua ʻo e talaʻofá” (Hepelū 11:9). Naʻe fili ʻa Paula ke ʻoua naʻa ilifia ki he “ngaahi haʻí mo e ngaahi meʻa fakamamahí” kae fakaʻosi ʻene ngāue naʻá ne “maʻu mei he ʻEiki [ko] Sīsuú” (Ngāue 20:23–24). Naʻe fakalaulauloto ʻa Siosefa Sāmita ki he ngaahi folofolá mo fakapapau ke muimui ʻi he fakaafe ke ne “kole ki he ʻOtuá” (Siosefa Sāmita—Hisitōlia 1:13).

Ko Hotau Fatongia ke Ngāué

ʻOku fakatokanga mai ʻa e folofolá ko e taʻe-ʻiló ʻoku ʻikai ko ha ʻuhinga ia ki hono taʻe-fakahokó. Naʻe “holi [ʻa Nīfai] ke [ne] ʻilo ki he ngaahi meʻa naʻe mamata ki ai [ʻene] tamaí,” peá ne fakalaulauloto ki ai ʻi hono lotó, pea naʻe “ʻave [ia] ʻe he Laumālie ʻo e ʻEikí” (1 Nīfai 11:1). Lolotonga iá, naʻe fakamoleki ʻe Leimana mo Lemiuela hona taimí ʻi he “fakakikihi ʻo kau ki he ngaahi meʻa kuo lea ʻaki ʻe [Līhai] kiate kinautolú” (1 Nīfai 15:2).

ʻOku ʻamanaki ʻa e ʻEikí te tau fakaʻekeʻeke, ako, mo ngāue—neongo ʻoku ʻi ai ha ngaahi meʻa ʻe malava pē ke tau taʻe ʻilo ki ai ʻi he moʻui ko ʻení. Ko e taha ʻo e ngaahi meʻa ko iá ko e houa ʻo ʻEne Hāʻele ʻAngaua Maí. Naʻá Ne folofola, “Ko ia, leʻo: he ʻoku ʻikai te mou ʻilo ʻa e feituʻu laʻā ko ia ʻe haʻu ai homou ʻEikí” (Mātiu 24:42). Koeʻuhí ko e taʻepau ko ʻení, naʻe faleʻi ai ʻe Palesiteni Uilifooti Utalafi (1807–98) ʻa e kāingalotu ʻo e Siasí ke nau teuteu, ka naʻá ne fakapapauʻi ange ʻe kei hoko atu pē ʻene tō ʻa e ʻuluʻakau ko e selí.1

Ko e taimi ʻokú ke moʻui angatonu ai mo ngāue ʻi he loto falalá, he ʻikai tuku ʻe he ʻOtuá ke ke tō atu ki tuʻa taʻe ʻoatu ha ongo ko ha fakatokanga kapau naʻá ke fai ʻa e fili ʻoku halá.”2

Fakamoʻoniʻi ki he ʻEikí

ʻOku ʻi ai ha ongo meʻa ʻe ua mei heʻeku moʻuí—ʻa ia naʻe ʻikai ke u fakapapauʻi ai ʻa e meʻa ke faí—ʻokú ne fakamahino hono mahuʻinga ʻo e talangofua ki he ngaahi fekaú mo muimui ki he kau palōfita moʻuí. Naʻe ʻosi ʻeku paʻangá ʻi heʻeku ʻi he ʻunivēsití, ko ia ne u kumi leva haʻaku ngāue fakataimi.

Naʻá ku pehē leva ke u fakamoʻoniʻi ki he ʻEikí. Naʻá ku ʻuluaki totongi ʻeku vahehongofulú, peá Ne tāpuakiʻi ai au ke u moʻui. Naʻá ku ako heni ke u falala ki Heʻene ngaahi talaʻofá.

Naʻá ku talanoa leva mo e kautahá, pea mau aleaʻi ha aleapau ke fakapapauʻi ʻoku hoko atu pē maluʻí ʻi he lolotonga e māhina ko Suné. ʻI he ʻaho 28 ʻo Suné, ne tō ai ʻema tamasiʻi lahi ko Metí (Matt) mei he papa tulihopo māʻolunga he vaikaukauʻanga ʻo e kaungāʻapí ʻo ta he funga faliki simá. Meʻa mālié, he naʻe totongi ʻe he maluʻi fakafaitoʻó ʻa e konga lahi ʻo hono faitoʻó.

Ko e Hā ʻOku Totonu Ke Tau Faí?

Ko e hā leva ʻoku totonu ke tau fai ʻi he taimi ʻoku ʻikai ke tau ʻilo ai ʻa e meʻa ke fai? ʻOku akoʻi kitautolu ʻe he ngaahi maʻuʻanga tokoni mahuʻinga ko ʻení ke tau:
