ʻI he vakai ʻa Siosefa ki he māmá, naʻá ne mamata ki he ʻOtua ko e Tamaí, ʻi ʻolunga ʻiate ia he ʻeá. Naʻe maamangia mo nāunauʻia ange Hono fofongá ʻi ha meʻa kuo mātā ʻe Siosefa. Naʻe ui ia ʻe he ʻOtuá ʻaki hono hingoá mo Ne tuhu ki he Tokotaha ʻi Hono tafaʻakí. Naʻá Ne folofola ange, “Ko Hoku ʻAlo ʻOfaʻangá ʻEni. “Fanongo kiate Ia!”6

ʻI he fuʻu vaivai ʻa Siosefa mei he mata-meʻa-hā-maí ke toe ngaué, naʻá ne tokoto ʻi he vaoʻakaú kae ʻoua leva kuo foki mai ha niʻihi ʻo hono mālohí. Naʻá ne toki faingataʻaʻia ʻi heʻene feinga ki ʻapí peá ne falala ki he veʻe tafuʻanga afí ki ha tokoni. Naʻe vakai kiate ia ʻene faʻeé peá ne fehuʻi ange pe ko e hā e meʻa naʻe hokó.

Naʻe fakapapauʻi ange ʻe Siosefa kiate ia, “ʻoku lelei e meʻa kotoa. ʻOku ou sai pē au ia.”13

Naʻá ne fie fehuʻi, “Ko e hā e ʻuhinga ʻoku fakatangaʻi ai au ʻi heʻeku tala ʻa e moʻoní? Ko e hā ʻoku fakakaukau ai ʻa e māmaní ke fakamālohiʻi au ke u fakafisingaʻi ʻa e meʻa kuó u mamata moʻoni ki aí?”

Naʻe puputuʻu ʻa Siosefa ʻi he ngaahi fehuʻi ko ʻení ʻi he toenga ʻo ʻene moʻuí. Naʻá ne toe pehē kimui ange, “kuó u mamata moʻoni ki ha maama, pea naʻá ku mamata ʻi he lotolotonga ʻo e maama ko iá ki ha Tangata ʻe toko ua, pea naʻá Na folofola moʻoni mai kiate au, pea neongo naʻe fehiʻanekinaʻi mo fakatangaʻi au koeʻuhi ko ʻeku taukaveʻi kuó u mamata ki ha meʻa-hā-maí, ka naʻe moʻoni ia.”

Naʻá ne fakamoʻoniʻi, “naʻá ku ʻiloʻi ia, peá u ʻiloʻi ʻoku ʻafioʻi ia ʻe he ʻOtuá, pea ʻe ʻikai te u lava ʻo fakaʻikaiʻi ia.”17
