Kapittel 39

Jesus helbreder en blind mann

The disciples ask Jesus if a certain man is blind because he sinned or his parents sinned - ch.34-1

En dag gikk Jesus sammen med sine disipler. De møtte en mann som var født blind. Disiplene spurte om mannen var blind fordi han hadde syndet eller fordi foreldrene hadde syndet.

Johannes 9:1–2

Jesus tells the disciples that the man was blind so that He could heal him and the people could see God's power - ch.34-2

Frelseren sa at hverken foreldrene eller mannen selv hadde syndet. Mannen var blind for at Jesus kunne helbrede ham og vise folk Guds makt.

Johannes 9:3–5

Jesus puts mud on the man's eyes and tells him to wash his eyes - ch.34-3

Jesus laget leire av jorden. Han la den på den blinde mannens øyne. Jesus ba mannen gå og vaske øynene sine.

Johannes 9:6–7

The man washes the mud from his eyes and can see - ch.34-4

Så snart mannen hadde vasket bort leiren fra øynene sine, kunne han se!

Johannes 9:7

The man tells the people that Jesus healed him - ch.34-5

Da naboene hans så ham, visste de ikke hvem han var. Han fortalte dem at Jesus hadde helbredet ham. Naboene tok med seg mannen til fariseerne. Mannen fortalte fariseerne at Jesus hadde helbredet ham.

Johannes 9:8–11

The man tells the Pharisees that Jesus healed him and they are angry - ch.34-6

Noen av fariseerne trodde at Jesus måtte være en rettferdig mann. Andre trodde han var en synder. Da mannen sa at Jesus var en rettferdig mann, ble noen av fariseerne sinte og kastet ham ut.

Johannes 9:13–16, 30–34

The man worships Jesus after Jesus tells him that He is the Son of God - ch.34-7

Jesus fant mannen. Han spurte mannen om han trodde på Guds Sønn. Mannen spurte hvem Guds Sønn var. Jesus sa at han var Guds Sønn, og mannen tilba ham.
