… Naʻá ku ʻofa ʻi hoku misioná. Naʻá ne liliu au. Ka neongo iá, ʻoku fakaʻau ke mole atu ha niʻihi ʻo e ngaahi ongo toputapu mo makehe ko ia ne u ongoʻi ʻi he malaʻe ʻo e ngāue fakafaifekaú. Ko e hā te u lava ʻo fai ke u ongoʻi hangē ko ia ia ne u ongoʻi he malaʻe ʻo e ngāue fakafaifekaú?”

Kuo tā-tuʻo lahi ʻeku fakatokangaʻi e hoko ʻa e meʻá ni. Ko e meʻa naʻá ne fehuʻí, “Ko e hā te u lava ʻo fai ke u fiefia ai, ongoʻi ʻa e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní, pea ofi ki he Fakamoʻuí?” Ko ha fehuʻi ʻeni ʻoku totonu ke tau fai ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē.

Naʻe hoko atu ʻema laú ki he ʻAlamā 34:28: “Kapau te mou tekeʻi ʻa e masivá, mo e telefuá, ʻo ʻikai ʻaʻahi ki he mahakí mo e faingataʻaʻiá, pea foaki mei hoʻomou koloá, ʻo kapau ʻoku mou maʻu, kiate kinautolu ʻoku masivá—ʻoku ou pehē kiate kimoutolu, kapau ʻoku ʻikai te mou fai ha meʻa ʻe taha ʻi he ngaahi meʻá ni, vakai, ʻoku iku taʻeʻaonga ʻa hoʻomou lotú, pea ʻoku ʻikai hano ʻaonga kiate kimoutolu, pea ʻoku mou hangē ko e kau mālualoi ʻa ia ʻoku nau fakaʻikaiʻi ʻa e tuí.”

Naʻá ma toe vakaiʻi leva e talanoa ʻi he Kosipeli ʻa Sioné ʻa ia naʻe ʻalu ai ʻa Pita mo e kau ākonga kehé ʻo taumātaʻu pea ʻikai maʻu ha meʻa ka naʻe fekauʻi ʻe he Fakamoʻuí ke hiki ʻenau kupengá ki he tafaʻaki ʻe taha ʻo e vaká pea maʻu ai e mataʻi ika ʻe 153. Ka ne u ongoʻi e ʻofa ʻa e Fakamoʻuí kiate kinautolú, ki he ngaahi laumālie angaʻofa ko iá. Naʻe hā mahino kiate au te u fetaulaki mo e niʻihi fakafoʻituitui ko ʻení—ʻa ʻeni kuo maʻu ʻe he ʻatamai ngalongaló mo e mahaki fakatuʻasinó—ʻi he moʻui ka hoko maí.

ʻOku toutou fakamanatu mai ʻe he folofolá ʻa e mahuʻinga ʻo hono tokoniʻi e masivá mo e faingataʻaʻiá.

, pea naʻe haʻu e kakaí he ʻaho kotoa pē ki hoku ʻapí ke kai mā. ʻI ha ʻaho ʻe taha ne u ongoʻi mafasia ai ʻi he [meʻá ni]; ne u ʻalu leva ki he kolotau motuʻá pea ʻi he taimi ne u foki ai ki ʻapí naʻá ku fiemālie. Naʻá ku talaange ki hoku uaifí, ‘ʻOua naʻa tuku ke haʻu ha taha ki heni ko e fie maʻu meʻakai pea taʻe foki mo ha meʻa, he kapau te ke fai pehē te tau faingataʻaʻia teʻeki ke aʻu ki he utu-taʻú; ka kapau te ke foaki ki he tokotaha kotoa pē ʻe haʻú ʻoku totonu ke feʻunga pē ʻetau meʻakaí. …

“ʻOku ou loto ke hokohoko atu hono fai iá, koeʻuhí ke tolonga atu ʻeku maá, he ka ʻikai ʻe siʻisiʻi ia.

“ʻOkú ke tui ki he tefitoʻi moʻoni ko iá? ʻOku ou ʻilo ʻoku moʻoni ia, koeʻuhí he kuo tā tuʻo lahi ʻeku fakamoʻoniʻi iá.”2

Naʻe hā ʻa e aʻusia ko ʻení ʻi ha uepisaiti faka-Kalisitiane ʻo ha toketā ʻi Kololato, USA, ʻa ia naʻe mālō pē ʻene aʻu ki ha pausa hili ia ha kamata ke matemate ʻene kaá. ʻI heʻene teuteu ke tā ki ha loli taulaní, naʻá ne fakatokangaʻi ha fefine, ʻa ia naʻe tau ʻene kā motuʻá ʻi he veʻe pausá, ʻoku hekea pea tō ki lalo.

“Ne u hū ki tuʻa ke vakai pe naʻá ne sai pē. ʻI heʻeku aʻu atú, naʻe hangē naʻe lomekina lahi ange ia heʻene tangí ʻi heʻene toó; ko [ha] fefine kei talavou naʻe matuʻaki fuʻu ongosia pea takatakaʻuli hono matá. ʻI heʻeku tokoniʻi ia ke ne tuʻú naʻe tō ha meʻa ki lalo, pea ne u toʻo hake ia ke ʻave ki ai. Ko ha sēniti ʻe nima.

“Naʻe kamata ke u ʻiloʻi, ʻi he taimi ko iá, ʻa e tuʻunga ʻokú ne ʻi aí: ko e fefine ʻoku tangi, ko e [kā] motuʻa naʻe fakafonu ai e meʻa kehekehe mo e fānau ʻe toko tolu ʻi mui (taha ʻi ha nofoʻanga ʻo e kaá), mo e pamu naʻe hā ai ke ne totongi e [U.S.] $4.95. Ne u fehuʻi ange pe ʻoku ongoʻi sai pē pe ʻoku fie maʻu tokoni, ka naʻá ne toutou pehē mai pē, ‘ʻOku ʻikai ke u loto ke sio mai ʻeku fānaú ki heʻeku tangí.’”

ʻI he mahino ʻa e tūkunga ʻoku ʻi ai e fefiné, naʻe toʻo hake ʻe he toketaá ʻene kaati fakamoʻuá (credit card), ʻo ne ʻutu fonu e kā ʻa e fefiné, peá ne fakatau leva ha tangai meʻakai lalahi ʻe ua mo ha ngaahi kaati meʻaʻofa (gift certificates) maʻá e fefiné mo ʻene fānaú ʻi ha falekai ʻi he veʻe pausá.

Naʻe fāʻofua kiate ia e toketaá peá ne fai ha lotu ke maluʻi e fefiné ʻi heʻene fononga he halá. Naʻe fehuʻi ange ʻe he fefiné kiate ia ʻi heʻene lue ki heʻene kaá, “Ko ha ʻāngelo nai koe pe hā?”

Naʻe tali ange ʻe he toketaá, “Ko e taimi ʻe niʻihi ʻoku ngāue ʻaki ʻe he ʻOtuá ʻa e kakai angamahení.”

Naʻá ne fakatokangaʻi leva: “Ko ha meʻa fakaofo ia ke hoko ko ha mana ki ha taha kehe. Pea ko e moʻoni, … ʻi he taimi ne u heka ai ki heʻeku kaá naʻe moʻui ʻi he taimi pē ko iá pea naʻe tuai e kemo ʻeku aʻu ki ʻapi ʻikai ha palopalema. Te u ʻave ia ki he fale ngāué ʻapongipongi ke vakaiʻi, ka ʻoku ou mahalo he ʻikai maʻu ʻe he ʻenisiniá ha fehālaaki.”3

ʻOku falala mai nai ʻa e ʻEikí ke tau hoko ko ha tali ki ha lotu ʻa ha taha kehe? Te Ne falala mai nai ke tau muimui ʻi he ngaahi ueʻi ʻa e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní? Ko e fuofua akonaki naʻe fai ʻe Sīsū ʻi Heʻene fepōtalanoaʻaki mo Pitá ko e, “Fafanga ʻeku fanga lamí.” ʻOku ʻafioʻi ʻe he Fakamoʻuí kapau te tau fafanga e fanga lamí, he ʻikai fie maʻu ke tau kumi ha sipi hē.
