Ko Paula mo Sailosi ʻi he Fale Fakapōpulá

A girl with an evil spirit in her sits on the ground. People pay money to hear her speak. - ch.61-1

Naʻe ʻi ai ha laumālie ʻuli ʻi ha kiʻi taʻahine. Naʻe saiʻia ʻa e kakaí ke nau fanongo ki he meʻa ʻoku lea ʻaki ʻe he laumālie ʻulí ʻo fakafou ʻiate iá. Naʻa nau totongi ki he kau tangata naʻá ne ngāue ki aí ka nau fanongo ki he lea ʻa e laumālie ʻulí.

Paul and Silas cast the evil spirit out of the girl and the men who earn money with her are angry. - ch.61-2

Ko e taimi pē ne lue hake ai ʻa Paula mo Sailosí, naʻe muimui ʻa e kiʻi taʻahiné ʻiate kinaua. ʻI heʻene fai peheé naʻe lea ʻa e laumālie ʻulí. ʻI ha ʻaho ʻe taha naʻe fekau ʻe Paula ʻa e laumālie ʻulí ke mavahe mei ai. Naʻá ne fai ia. Naʻe ʻita ʻaupito e kau tangata naʻá ne ngāue ki aí. Ko ʻeni he ʻikai ke toe maʻu haʻanau paʻanga he taimí ni.

The angry men take Paul and Silas to the leaders of the city. - ch.61-3

Naʻe ʻave ʻe he kau tangatá ʻa Paula mo Sailosi ki he kau taki ʻo e koló. Naʻa nau pehē naʻe fakatupu kovi ʻa Paula mo Sailosi.

Paul and Silas are whipped and put in prison. - ch.61-4

Naʻe fekauʻi ʻe he kau takí ke tā mo tuku pōpula ʻa Paula mo Sailosi.

Paul and Silas pray and sing hymns.  The prison shakes and the doors open. - ch.61-5

ʻI he pō ko iá ne lotu pea hivaʻi ʻe Paula mo Sailosi ha ngaahi himi ki he Tamai Hēvaní. Naʻe fanongo e taha kotoa pē kiate kinaua. Fakafokifá pē kuo kamata ke ngalulu ʻa e kelekelé. Naʻe ava e ngaahi matapā ʻo e fale fakapōpulá.

The prison guard finds Silas and Paul still in the prison.  He asks them how he can be saved. - ch.61-6

The prison guard is baptized along with his family. - ch.61-7

Naʻe akoʻi ʻe Paula mo Sailosi ʻa e ongoongoleleí ki he leʻó mo hono fāmilí. Naʻe papitaiso ʻa e leʻó mo hono fāmilí ʻi he pō pē ko iá.

Paul and Silas are set free from the prison. - ch.61-8
