Goal Ideas

  • Read, listen to, or memorize the family proclamation.

  • As you study the family proclamation, draw a picture, make a collage, or take pictures that represent what you are learning about yourself, your family, and Heavenly Father’s plan for you.

  • Write each sentence of the family proclamation, and record in your journal your feelings about what the family proclamation teaches you line by line.

  • Write down a list of questions the world has about the family—for example: Who were you before you were born? Who are you now? What is the purpose of the family? How can I help my family be happy? Look for the answers in the family proclamation and write down the answers you find.

  • Study the proclamation and look for teachings about the divine roles of men and women. Hint: these teachings are found in more than just two sentences. Choose one thing you want to work on to help you fulfill your divine roles.
