Purpose

Many people around you are going through hard times. You can help Heavenly Father care for them by learning to recognize their needs and serving them.

Goal Description

Learn to recognize those who need help and care for them.

Goal Ideas

  • Think of someone who could use encouragement. Do something simple for him or her like drawing a picture or writing a kind note.

  • Pray to notice when someone needs help and to know what you can do. Act on the impressions you receive. Record your thoughts and experiences in your journal.

  • Check out ministering.lds.org to learn about ways to minister to others. Set a goal to act on what you learn.

  • Do you know someone who needs long-term care or service? Talk with this person or the person’s caregiver to come up with a plan for how you can help. Invite others to take turns helping.

  • Create your own goal.
