Purpose

Follow the Savior’s example of ministering and look for someone around you who would be blessed by your sincere smile, encouraging word, or visit. Help them to know they are loved.

Goal Description

Minister to others in the Savior’s way.

Goal Ideas

Send uplifting text messages, notes, or emails to one person a day.

Look up the word minister in the Topical Guide. What do you learn from the scriptures about how the Savior and His disciples ministered to those around them? In your journal, write down your thoughts and impressions of what it means to minister to others.

Read 3 Nephi and mark every time it says “minister” or “one by one” and see what you can learn about ministering.

Find a new friend. We can never have too many friends, so look for someone who is sitting alone at church or at school, and sit by that person. Get to know the person better.

Pray for someone by name and pray to know how you might serve that person. Write down the thoughts that come to your mind and then act on the inspiration you receive.

Create your own goal.
