Purpose

The Lord needs good leaders to help build His kingdom in the latter days. He needs you! Your leadership can help others find their way along the covenant path.

Goal Description

Develop leadership skills.

Goal Ideas

  • Talk with a leader you admire. Ask the leader to share his or her thoughts on being a good leader and developing leadership skills. Choose one of those skills or attributes and make a plan to develop it in your own life.

  • Study the life of a great leader. Write in your journal about this person’s leadership skills and what you can learn from his or her example.

  • Study the leadership qualities of the Savior as found in the scriptures. Set goals to develop one or more of these qualities.

  • Volunteer for a leadership opportunity at school or church.

  • Create your own list of leadership skills—for example, teaching, building relationships, communicating effectively, or being an example. Set a goal to develop one of these skills more fully.

  • Create your own goal.
