Improve the World Around You

Purpose

God has given us this magnificent world. You can show your appreciation by doing your part to keep it clean and beautiful.

Make a park or other area more enjoyable by cleaning it up and improving it.

Organize a service project with your Young Women or Young Men group to clean up litter and other debris at a local park or public area.
Look for opportunities in your neighborhood to help improve a home or lawn, like pulling weeds, mowing lawns, planting flowers, painting, or other activities. Make sure to ask first how you can help.
Work with your city council or another organization to plan and carry out a citywide clean-up event or to improve a specific area.
Commit to leaving a place better than you found it. For example, always remove your own trash and pick up trash that was already there when you arrived.
