It’s About Time
Purpose
Do you ever feel like there’s not enough time in the day for everything you have to do? It might amaze you how much you can get done by learning to plan and prioritize your day. You’ll be better able to accomplish the most important things in your life and still have time for the other things you need to do.
Goal Description
Practice basic time-management skills and learn to set priorities.
Goal Ideas
-
Find and use a tool to help you get organized. Learn how to prioritize what you need to do. A notebook, calendar, or app may be just what you need to manage your time.
-
Set a time each day or week to plan your schedule, including assignments, goals, and other commitments. Record what you need to do and when you need to do it.
-
For one day or week, write down all the ways you spend your time. Identify ways you may be wasting time and then make a plan to eliminate some of those time-wasters.
-
Plan time for the things that are most important to you—for example, daily prayers and scriptures, family responsibilities, relationships, school, favorite activities, and work. Are you spending enough time in each of these areas? Not enough? Consider any changes you need to make so you have time for important things.
-
Create your own goal.
