Tap into Your Inner Artist
Purpose
Being creative is a characteristic of Christ. He is the Creator. Sometimes you may worry that you don’t have any creative or artistic ability. But there are countless ways to be creative. All you have to do is find the right one for you.
Goal Description
Learn a new creative or artistic skill. Try something new and you might be surprised at what you can do!
Goal Ideas
-
Look at items in nature around you and see if you can create something using a few of these things. You could make a decoration, a piece of art, a tool, or anything else.
-
Talk with several people with creative or artistic skills you may want to learn. Ask them questions, including how they got started and what they like most about using that skill. Ask them for ideas or help so you can start developing a new skill.
-
Try a skill that you might not normally choose. For example, if you are mostly involved in music, try creative writing. Or if you crochet, try woodworking. You don’t have to be perfect. Just enjoy being creative!
-
Pick a new skill and learn all about it on the internet, by taking a class, or by talking with someone. Work on it consistently for a month. Using your new skill, create something to give away as a gift. It doesn’t even have to be a special occasion!

Create your own goal.
