Purpose

We all need some alone time every once in a while, but too much time alone can leave you feeling isolated or out of touch with others. Spend time with a friend or family member or hang out with a group to develop relationships, make memories, and learn.

Goal Description

Spend time with other people.

Goal Ideas

  • Write down a list of questions you could ask to start a conversation; then keep the conversation going by listening for things you have in common or even things that make you different.

  • Ask someone to teach you how to do something they enjoy. Or offer to be the teacher yourself!

  • Visit someone who is sick, elderly, or living alone. The visit can be long or short. Record in your journal how you feel after spending time with that person.

  • Help a family member with a household chore, and talk as you work. You might realize you don’t know as much about your family as you thought!

  • Invite a friend or family member to play a game, go on a walk, or do something else that you would both enjoy.

  • Create your own goal.
