Understand the Divine Roles of Men and Women
Purpose
Women and men have unique roles in God’s eternal plan for His children. As you learn about these roles and respect the contributions everyone can make, you can build meaningful, eternal relationships.
Goal Description
Learn about and respect the divine roles and responsibilities of men and women.
Goal Ideas
-
Read and study “The Family: A Proclamation to the World” (Ensign or Liahona, May 2017, 145). Share what you learn about the divine roles of men and women during a family home evening or in a lesson or talk.
-
Create a vision board of what you want your future role to look like. Set specific goals that will help you achieve that vision.
-
Talk with your parents or grandparents about your family. How have they learned about their roles? How do they see each person filling a unique role in your family? Write in your journal any advice they give you about growing in your role, and pray about how you can apply that advice.
-
Read the biography of a faithful man or woman. Write down the things that you learn about fulfilling divine roles.
-
Study recent general conference talks about families or the roles of men and women. Keep a list of things you learn about families and especially about your own role as a son or daughter of God.
-
Create your own goal.
