Hōho’a
Man with an unclean spirit - ch.25-1

Hoê taata e ora ra i roto i te hoê hunaraa ma‘i i piha‘iho i te Roto no Galilea tei uruhia i te varua ino ua rave i te ohipa iino. Ua nati te taata ia’na i te fifi auri no te tape‘a ia’na, aita râ oia e mau i te fifi.

Hōho’a
The man with the unclean spirit cries and cuts himself with stones - ch.25-2

E ti‘a oia i te mau mou‘a e te mau ana i te ao e te pô. E aue noa oia i te mau taime atoa, ma te otioti ia’na i te ofa‘i.

Hōho’a
The man runs to meet Jesus as He disembarks - ch.25-3

I te hoê mahana te fano ra Iesu e Ta’na mau pĭpĭ i ni‘a i te Roto no Galilea na ni‘a i te poti. Ia pou maira te Faaora i rapae i te poti, horo maira taua taata ra Ia’na ra.

Hōho’a
Jesus commands the unclean spirit to come out of the man - ch.25-4

Ua parau atu ra Iesu i te varua ino ia haere i rapae i taua taata ra. Ua ite te varua ino e Tamaiti o Iesu na te Atua. Ua ani atu ra oia ia Iesu eiaha e haamauiui ia’na.

The unclean spirit says his name is Legion and begged Jesus to send them into the swine - ch.25-5

The evil spirits enter the bodies of the swine and rush into the sea and drown - ch.25-6

The men who cared for the swine ran to tell other people what had happened and they came and saw that the man wasn't wild anymore - ch.25-7

Horo atu ra te mau taata haapa‘o puaa i roto i te oire e faaite i te taata i te ohipa tei tupu. Haere maira te mau taata e ite atu ra ia Iesu e i te taata oviri. E ere râ te oviri faahou taua taata ra.

Hōho’a
The people were afraid of Jesus and asked Him to go away - ch.25-8

Mata‘u a‘e ra te taata ia Iesu. Ua ani atu ra ratou Ia’na ia haere ê. Ho‘i atu ra Oia i roto i te poti.

Hōho’a
Jesus tells the man not to come with Him but go and tell his friends about how he had been healed - ch.25-9

The man's friends marvelled at what he told them - ch.25-10
