Umoya
Yileyo ngxenye yokudaliweyo okuphilayo ekhona ngaphambi kokuzalwa kwasemhlabeni, ehlala emzimbeni wemvelo ngesikhathi sempilo yasemhlabeni, futhi ebakhona emuva kokufa izimele yodwa kuze kufike isikhathi soVuko. Zonke izinto eziphilayo—abantu, izilwane, kanye nezitshalo—zaziyimimoya ngaphambi kokuba khona kwanoma yisiphi isimo sempilo emhlabeni (Gen. 2:4–5; Mose 3:4–7). Umzimba womoya uyafana nomzimba wemvelo (1 Nefi 11:11; Etere 3:15–16; Mf&V 77:2; 129). Umoya yinto ebonakalayo nekhona, kodwa uthe ukucweba noma uthe ukubamsulwa kunokubonakalayo noma kunemisuka yezinto zasemhlabeni (Mf&V 131:7).
Wonke umuntu uyindodana noma uyindodakazi kaNkulunkulu ngempela, ezalwe engumoya ngabaZali baseZulwini ngaphambi kokuzalwa ngabazali abafayo basemhlabeni (Heb. 12:9). Umuntu ngamunye unomzimba womoya ongafi ngaphezulu komzimba wenyama kanye namathambo. Njengoba kwesinye isikhathi kuchaziwe emibhalweni engcwele, umoya kanye nomzimba wemvelo kundawonye kwenza umuntu (Gen. 2:7; Mf&V 88:15; Mose 3:7, 9, 19; Abr. 5:7). Umoya uyakwazi ukuphila ngaphandle komzimba wemvelo, kodwa umzimba wemvelo awukwazi ukuphila ngaphandle komoya (Jak. 2:26). Ukufa kwemvelo wukwehlukana komoya kanye nomzimba. Ngesikhathi soVuko, umoya uyahlanganiswa futhi nomzimba wemvelo wenyama namathambo ofanayo nalowo owawunawo usengofayo, kube nalo mehluko omkhulu: akusophinde kuhlukaniswe futhi, futhi umzimba wemvelo uzoba ngongafiyo kanye nophelelisiweyo (Alima 11:45; Mf&V 138:16–17).
